Newsletter LeFaso.net Technological innovation: Daikin Burkina brings economical air conditioners to market
As of Saturday, March 30, 2019, the company Daikin Burkina provides Burkinabè with economical and ecological air conditioners. Daikin is a Japanese brand, world leader in energy-efficient air conditioning, with 90 years of experience. Boureima Nanema President and CEO of Daikin Burkina, explains that the Daikin air conditioner saves up to 80% energy compared to other air conditioners on the market. Indeed, he continues, Daikin air conditioners have a built-in map that allows you to gauge the energy demand.
Also, air conditioners offer an ecological solution. “We are working to support the government in promoting high energy efficiency equipment. Energy being scarce these days, it is necessary that we work day and night to support the government in this policy,” maintained Boureima Nanema.
Daikin emphasizes energy saving and environmental protection. This is why the sponsor of the ceremony, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Handicrafts, Harouna Kaboré, justified his presence by the desire to pay tribute to the intelligence of young people in the business world. For him, Boureima Nanema is a young, innovative entrepreneur in his investments.
He adds that the choice of the type of air conditioning is very crucial for the national economy because it makes it possible to answer the question of the cooling of the premises and that of energy efficiency. “It is a new form of equipment which is equipped with a card or microprocessor which allows automatic regulation”, he underlines. He therefore believes that the opening of this company should delight the Minister in charge of Energy, Bachir Ouédraogo, present at the ceremony.

The government, in its desire to promote entrepreneurship, has taken a number of initiatives in the investment code. Energy is now included in this code as a sector that can benefit from investments. The Minister therefore explained that “in the processing sector, we have introduced a reform which says that when you invest in the processing of our local raw material, you only fulfill a quarter of the conditions required to benefit from the advantages of the investment code. For example, for someone who starts processing local products, he just needs to invest 25 million and create a few jobs to be able to benefit from the investment code”.
Boureima Nanema, the CEO of Daikin Burkina, is also the promoter of Olympia brand lubricants in Burkina.
